         The total course duration in the Philippines is of 6 years (including 1 year internship).

    Requirements

    •        The age needs to be between 17 years and below 25 years before the date of admission.

    •        Should have cleared (10+2) with physics, Chemistry and Biology Subjects.

    First Year

    Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Preventive Medicine, Community health, Psychiatry and Medical Practice I

    Second Year Fundamental concepts in Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Pharmacology, Medicine       and Surgery, Psychiatry II and Medical Economics.
    Third & Fourth Year

     The core focus is placed on studying the specializations in both medicine and surgery. The    subjects taught in the clinical phase comprise medicine allied subjects like Psychiatry, Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics. Apart from these, it also includes Surgery allied subjects like Anesthesiology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics.

    Internship It provides a platform for students to put their learned skills in practice. The internship is   mandatory and lasts for one year at the end of which the MBBS degree is awarded to the students. Under the guidance of your supervisor, you are apprenticed to a senior doctor in a hospital where you learn practical concepts on several specializations like Medicine, Surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, etc
