Climate

The hottest month of the year in Malta is August, with an average high of 86°F and low of 73°F. The cool season lasts for 4.1 months, from December 2 to April 4, with an average daily high temperature below 64°F.  The weather in Malta is typically Mediterranean. Summer is hot and dry with temperatures reaching 32 °C in July and August. Winter is mild and wet, and temperatures only dropping to around 15 - 17 °C during December to February

Food

Traditional Maltese food is rustic and based on the seasons. Look out for Lampuki Pie (fish pie), Rabbit Stew, Bragioli (beef olives), Kapunata, (Maltese version of ratatouille), and widow's soup, which includes a small round of Gbejniet (sheep or goat's cheese)

Malta is a popular tourist destination and known for its warm climate and breathtaking landscapes that serve as locations for major film productions. The archipelago is   home to some of the oldest temples in the world, such as the Megalithic Temples of Malta.

Entry criteria

The General Entry Requirements are the Matriculation Certificate and a pass at grade 5 or better in the Secondary Education Certificate examinations in English Language, Maltese and Mathematics. A non-Maltese applicant may be allowed to offer another language as approved by the Admissions Board instead of Maltese.

Malta Study Visa After 7 Years of Education Gap.

COST OF STUDY 

For EU students and citizens of Malta, university education is free. Non-EU students will be required to pay tuition fees. The actual tuition fee amount might differ as per course and university but on average, you can expect to pay around 2,000 EUR (1,64,800 INR approx.)

As expected, Malta tends to have very low costs of living compared to other countries in the EU. On average, students can expect to pay as low as EUR 300 per month for accommodation and other basic living expenses (including food and travel).

PR option

Foreign nationals without family ties in Malta can become citizens if they have lived in the country for four cumulative years in the last six years with a permanent residence and residence permit. They must not have stayed outside Malta for more than six consecutive months or ten during the said period

Maltese permanent residence can be obtained by an applicant over 18 years of age with proven legal income, who has no criminal record and who has not been refused a visa by a country that has a visa-free agreement with Malta

Earn while study

Students from Non-EU countries (Third Country Nationals – TCN) can now apply for an employment licence and work whilst studying in Malta. Third Country Nationals (TCN) students who are studying in Malta for longer than 90 days can apply for an employment licence allowing them to work in Malta.There are good opportunities that students can avail easily. In 2020, the national wage in Malta remained fixed at 777.1 € per month.

Malta golden visa

The Malta Golden Visa (Malta Residence and Visa Program) route allows high-income individuals to receive a Maltese passport within one to three years, by making a substantial investment in Malta. To get a Maltese passport in one year, you have to make an investment of at least €750,000 to the national development fund.
